    I rather like Dahmer. He had style (except for that godawful mo he was sporting at the time of his arrest – that alone should be a capital offence). Yeah, he killed people, but he did so with marvelous eccentricity and a criminal flair uncommon in these dull times. Tony Blair and George Bush between them killed tens of thousands of people, but they didn’t have the balls to get their hands dirty, much less to snack on the remains afterwards. Yes, he was utterly insane, but brilliantly so. His murderous madness has a kind of artistic genius. In a time when the trite conformity of public discourse has become a kind of mass-insanity of its own accord, the only heroes we deserve are men like Dahmer.
